Highest placer DreamHack Rotterdam 2022 Melee Singles gets invite to Smash Summit 14

If the €5000 prize pot, Smash World Tour gold status and top player attendance weren't enough to get you interested in DreamHack Rotterdam 2022. Well, Beyond the Summit will be extending an invite to Smash Summit 14 to the highest placer of DreamHack Rotterdam 2022 Melee Singles. Beyond the Summit has hosted one of the most exclusive and high-level tournament series since 2015. Smash Summit 14 will be hosted on November 3-6, 2022 in Los Angeles, California. An invite will provide the player with free entry, flights and hotels for the duration. Getting a Summit spot is a major dream for any Smash competitor, so this announcement will surely attract the attention of some of the best Melee players around the world. Of extra note is that players who already have an invite will not get the invite. Rather, the next highest placer will be invited. As such, it seems likely that a European player will be able to snag the coveted Summit invite.

The Smash World Tour is an international tournament circuit through which players for both Ultimate and Melee across the globe can qualify for the Smash World Tour Championships. DreamHack Rotterdam 2022 qualifies as a gold event for the Smash World Tour. The final championships will take place on december 9-11, 2022, in San Antonio, USA.
